Dr. William Carpenter, FAIA

“Dr. Carpenter, FAIA is an internationally recognized scholar, architect and educator. He has won numerous design awards and accolades for his teaching and practice. He is a founder of Lightroom (www.lightroom.tv); a nationally award winning design firm in Atlanta, Georgia.  His is currently the Chancellor of the ACSA College of Distinguished Professors and is a Professor at Kennesaw State University. He is also author of two important and influential books; Learning by Building: Design and Construction in Architectural Education, Wiley, 1997 and Modern Sustainable Residential Design, Wiley, 2009. Bill received the National Young Architects Citation (1997) and the National ACSA/AIAS Educator of the Year Award (2000). Bill was elected by his peers as a Fellow in the American Institute of Architects in 2000 and received the Ivan Allen Senior Trophy in 2010 and the Bernard Rothschild Award in 2012 from AIA Georgia.”
